For all your hardware needs and so much more

The legacy continues
JS Hardware, located in Windhoek’s southern industrial area, was founded by Jürgen Soeth in 1986.

Jürgen, a German national, completed his ironmongery degree in Hamburg in 1954 before moving to Namibia in the 1960s to start working for Metje & Ziegler as the manager of their hardware division.

As from 1986 and having managed JS Hardware & Hobby for 30 years, Jürgen worked full-time until his passing in 2016.

However, the family legacy continues thanks to his daughter, Junita Richter, who joined the company in 2014 and who is still one of the owners together with Kim Davidson.

JS Hardware’s manager, Hiskia Hainghumbi, has been with the company since the very early days, having started as a casual to help with odd jobs. However, Jürgen quickly saw his potential and employed him permanently, mentoring and training him to become exceptionally knowledgeable on ironmongery and hardware, which led to him becoming a top salesperson.
