Julian Schiebler: Dancer and actor
'Don't give up – accept failures and learn from them'
Initially, for 16-year-old Julian Schiebler, the World Championships for Performing Arts posed a daunting prospect.
“At first, I thought I was not ready for such a big competition yet, but my mother convinced me to participate. I feel much more confident now but also nervous.”
His passion for hip-hop started with a young boy’s wish to be able to do a backflip. He signed up for hip-hop classes, and from there, his passion for dance grew.
“I am looking forward to the performance the most, but I am also excited to visit Universal Studios with their studio tour and theme park, as well as visiting Hollywood,” Schiebler said.
At the World Championships, Schiebler will perform multiple hip-hop dances as well as act out a scene from Godzilla (2014). Even though all the training to prepare for this event was hard work, Schiebler thanked his family and his dance instructor, Yannis Beukes, for always supporting him.
