Dimitri Bittler, who was born in Oshakati, started his career at a young age. Bittler was always an artistic person in high school and converted his drawing skills to graphic skills.

He is responsible for ensuring that the image of the company is well portrayed and presented. Dimitri’s job ranges from website maintenance to graphic design and events management.

“I am the creative think tank for the National Housing Enterprise (NHE) marketing department and also the technical expert,” says Bittler.

When asked by Careers what his biggest challenges and accomplishments have been so far, Bittler said there aren’t any major challenges as the job is already challenging on a daily basis. One of his accomplishments is having the wow factor attached to each production or activity.

Bittler’s typical day is mostly spent in front of the computer, where he updates the company website and intranet, creates social media content, layout and desktop publishing.

Bittler is into art and is a sports fanatic. “The things that inspire me are nature’s colour, shapes, patterns and fellow designers.”

The advice he would give to other young people is not to follow what looks exciting but to follow what you are good at as a career.

His future plans are to get more involved in sports and arts and maybe even study sports science in the near future.

One thing Bittler wishes he knew how to do was is to sing and hit those chords. His greatest fear is the possibility of not being able to see tomorrow.

When asked about the best phase in life, he mentioned his late teenage years, which he describes with one word – “epic”.

If he had an opportunity to change anything in the world, Bittler would like to change the mindset of African leaders.
