Aimed at satisfying your every truck need Pupkewitz Truck Centre has dedicated a sales person for each franchise and a spare part, whenever you need it.
According to Heiko Doedens, Sales Manager at Pupkewitz Truck Centre, everyone of their staff members is experienced in the truck sales industry and is available to give professional advice whenever you are in doubt.
“We have a stock holding of about 4 million, with most parts being available here. But if we don’t have it in stock, it can be sourced from South Africa or further afield within a couple of days,” said Doedens during an interview.
Pupkewitz Trucks’ capable staff complement includes 10 well trained and qualified technicians, seven of whom specialise mainly in truck mechanics, two who are auto electricians, and one who is a dedicated forklift mechanic. They all put in around 1 000 hours of labour per month to ensure quality service at the end of the day.
“We have ongoing in-house training and are currently in the process of training staff to become Master Technicians. We have 24 hour roadside assistance, we do services on Saturday (on request) and we have all the necessary diagnostics equipment for UD and Hino trucks,” he said.
Pupkewitz Hino has been in operation since the 1980s when the Hino franchise was acquired by the Pupkewitz Group of Companies. A few years later, the then Nissan Diesel division, now UD Trucks franchise, was acquired and Pupkewitz Trucks was established.
Hino, as part of Toyota South Africa Motors, is dedicated and committed towards providing the preferred transport solution through appropriate product and the highest quality support services.
Doedens, who has more than 12 years of sales experience, explained that Pupkewitz Trucks can supply anything from buses built according to a client’s specific needs, as well as tipper, long haul trucks, trailers and construction vehicles.
“We can build a bus according to the customer’s needs and we’ve sold a couple to the government already,” Doedens said, adding that while this is a priority more about this can only be said once the Transportation Act for the safe transport of workers is in effect.
Another speciality of Pupkewitz Trucks is the marketing and maintenance of a wide range of forklifts. Here clients also have a choice to procure rather than hire a forklift on a short, medium or long term.
