Regional athletes battle it out

The Erongo schools regional athletics served for an action-packed sport event. About 300 athletes from Walvis Bay, Swakopmund, Arandis, Henties Bay, Karibib, Usakos, Uis and Okambahe participated in track and field items. Athletes who competed were between the age groups of under 13 to under 19.
The top athletes in their respective categories were also awarded. The best under-14 girl and boy were Jana Duvenhage and Baron van Wyk. The best under-15 girl and boy were Elandri Theunissen and Ian Steyn, while the best under-17 girl and boy were Chrislene Klein-Nienaber and Ajen Skini. Machandry Hendricks and Rulof Kamapunga were the best under-19 boy and girl.
The junior victor and victrix ludorum were Ian Steyn and Elandri Theunissen, while the senior victor and victrix ludorum were Ajen Skini and Chrislene Klein-Nienaber.
