Unlocking Gondwana’s potential

STAFF REPORTER
The Gondwana Collection’s formula for success is rooted in its commitment to invest in its people and embrace a culture of transparency as the foundation of its organisational philosophy.

This according to a statement by the company, which said within this framework, it cultivates an environment where every team member plays a meaningful role, contributing to the collective success.

This year’s Gondwana Go4Gold team commenced their advanced leadership journey in January, it said.

“Eager to evolve into mindful leaders, they are poised to make a positive and enduring impact - not only on their teams, but also on Gondwana as a whole.”

CEO Gys Joubert welcomed the new Go4Gold team, which he described as “Gondwana’s future”.

He highlighted that the Go4Gold programme is designed to challenge deep-seated fears and personal convictions.

By fully embracing and trusting the process, participants can expect life-altering positive results, he said.

“The journey promises to be simultaneously exciting and demanding, offering participants a crucial choice between comfort and courage. When you choose courage, growth will follow."

These empowering words set the tone for overcoming hurdles and emerging as strong leaders from the training, the company said.

Integrating knowledge

The programme will unfold across six modules, each spanning four days, over 12 months. It includes five "on-the-job" projects to seamlessly integrate gained knowledge into the workplace, along with a year-long project aimed at fostering planning, strategic thinking, decision-making and budgeting.

“At Gondwana, the employees are not just workers, they are key stakeholders in the journey toward success,” the statement read.

The first session marked the completion of Module 1, laying the groundwork for leadership by delving into essential aspects such as self-awareness and understanding human perceptions. These fundamentals serve as the building blocks, empowering individuals to navigate the complexities of leading others.

"I extend my best wishes to the Go4Gold team for their personal development journey," Joubert said, adding that he eagerly looks forward to their final presentations in November.

The presentations will showcase the practical application of the participants' acquired knowledge and skills.
