The urgency of the time

Mandy Rittmann
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:

It is true to say that we can learn a lot from the behaviour of animals. When my husband was alive, he fetched two beautiful cats from the SPCA to live with us.

I have noticed they are extremely careful about things that they have not noticed before.

I have started wondering how people hear God’s voice in this time of high-tech bombardment.

Recently early one morning, I heard a sentence from the Holy Spirit.

“Proceed with caution.”

Immediately the scripture that came to my mind was: Ephesians 5:15-16

“Be very careful then how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”

We know the opportunities spoken about are to tell people about the gift of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12

“Nor is there salvation in any other for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

In the Holy Bible in Matthew 24, the Lord Jesus Christ gives an account of what will happen before the Rapture “or His” second coming.

Matthew 24:6 – 7

“And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled for all these things must come to pass but the end is not yet.

For Nation will rise against Nation and Kingdom against Kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilence and earthquakes in various places.”

The one thing that we can know without a doubt is that everything mentioned by the Lord Jesus will bring about untimely deaths of people.

So, we cannot ignore the urgency of the time.

My God bless our obedience.
