ECN publishes list of registered political parties

Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) spokesperson De Wet Siluka has confirmed that there are currently 20 political parties duly registered to participate in the upcoming national elections later this year.

He stressed that the final date for party nominations and public sittings is 16 October.

The list published on the ECN website at ecn.na was recently updated to reflect the political parties currently registered.

5) Congress of Democrats (CoD)

6) Independent Patriots for Change (IPC)

9) National Democratic Party of Namibia (NDP)

10) National Empowerment Fighting Corruption (NEFC)

11) National Patriotic Front Of Namibia

12) National Unity Democratic Organisation of Namibia (NUDO)

13) Popular Democratic Movement (PDM)

14) Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP)

15) Republican Party of Namibia (RP)

16) Swanu of Namibia (SWANU)

17) SWAPO Party of Namibia (SWAPO)
