LeClubBet disputes client's alleged winnings
JUST IN: LeClubBet has rebutted claims from Oshakati resident Abisai Shihepo, who threatened legal action over a disputed N$3.3 million payout allegedly won at their Oneshila location. Shihepo, represented by lawyer Kadhila Amoomo, asserts the betting machine malfunctioned upon his winning.
However, LeClubBet, through their attorney Florian Beukes of Metcalfe & Beukes Attorneys, argues the terminal was undergoing maintenance, leading to erroneous credit issuance unsupported by gameplay. They have proposed an amicable resolution through their online platform, countering Shihepo's demands. “Considering the above, we beseech your client to inform us on what game he allegedly bet and won the amount so claimed. We advise that our client shall vigorously defend the threatened legal action and await same,” Beukes wrote in a letter dated Friday 21 June 2024.
