Nedbank Namibia honours top real estate players

Nedbank Namibia recently hosted the Nedbank Real Estate Awards, an esteemed event celebrating the outstanding achievements and contributions of the real estate industry. The awards ceremony, held at Avani Hotel, brought together industry experts, agents and key stakeholders to honour excellence in the sector.

Delivering the keynote address, Nedbank head of lending Chane Isaaks emphasised the critical role of the real estate sector in the country’s economic growth. “In this dynamic environment, real estate agents are not merely facilitators of transactions, they are the true architects of dreams and catalysts for change,” she said.

“The current market dynamics have placed significant pressure on both property buyers and sellers, including high interest rates which have affected affordability. These challenges, however, also present opportunities for growth, and Nedbank Namibia remains committed to supporting the real estate sector through tailored financial solutions and strategic partnerships,” Isaaks said.

The awards celebrated various categories, including estate agent of the year and estate agency of the year. Winners were recognised for their exceptional sales performance, dedication to client service and contributions to the industry’s growth.

Real estate agent Lourette Liebenberg won the Nedbank central estate agent of the year award, with Andreya Pereira as runner-up. Rightmove Properties was awarded as the estate agency of the year.

“While we at Nedbank Namibia focus on providing consumers with tailored financial solutions, real estate agents play a crucial role by offering valuable insights into the property market. Their knowledge of market conditions, property values and industry trends help buyers and sellers to make informed decisions. They assist hardworking Namibians in finding suitable properties, negotiating deals and guiding them through every step of the purchasing process,” Isaaks said.

Nedbank Namibia’s commitment to the real estate sector extends beyond awards, with a focus on providing tailored home loan products, expert advice and support to real estate agents and developers.
