Jacqueline van Zijl: Post-production controller

Jacqueline van Zijl is a post-production controller at Namibia Media Holdings. She enjoys the ever-evolving nature of the industry, the continuous learning opportunities, the satisfaction of overcoming challenges, and the joy of seeing the final product on screen. According to Jacqueline, the hardest part of being a post-production controller is managing multiple projects at once while meeting tight deadlines. This often involves juggling various tasks such as editing, sound mixing, visual effects, and colour grading. It also requires effective communication with different teams to ensure everyone is on the same page and working towards the same vision. Additionally, there's always the pressure of making sure the final product is of the highest quality and meets the expectations of the client or audience.
