Rodney Swartbooi: Graphic designer

Graphic designers are in charge of developing visually appealing designs that convey a specific message or concept to the intended audience. They must also be familiar with the latest design trends and technologies, as well as be able to collaborate with other designers and clients.

Rodney Swartbooi has been working as a graphic designer for over 18 years. He was taught on the job and found this to be challenging as he did not have any computer training during his secondary education.

“The most challenging thing about my career is the fast-advancing technology with so many cool programmes and tools. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the next stop as far as media and digital platforms are concerned, but I am afraid to lose the print production as it is my foundational standard.”
