ISWB Food Fest a raging success

The International School of Walvis Bay hosted its International Food Fest last weekend, where each grade from Year 1 to A and AS levels had the opportunity to represent a country and showcase its food.

Another highlight was the raffle, with the grand prize being N$20 000, that was won by PJ Sylvester. Nampie Humphries clinched the second prize of N$12 000 and Willem du Plessis pocketed the third prize of N$7 000.

The countries represented at the fest were Canada, South Africa, India, France, Brazil, Germany, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Italy and the USA.

Nicole Paschke, a teacher at ISWB and the main organiser, expressed her delight at how well the event turned out. "We were well-supported not only by our parents but also by the community. For this, I am grateful! I’m so proud to be a part of the International School of Walvis Bay."

This fundraiser is aimed at buying a new bus for the school.
