Meet your Miss 40 Up contestants
A total of 21 ladies will be competing in the third annual Miss 40 Up beauty pageant. This competition is a fundraiser for the Yahweh Down Syndrome Foundation based in Walvis Bay.
The foundation, which has since branched out to a pre-primary school in Narraville, was started by Bonita Antoncich in honour of her son, Nehemiah Antoncich (6), who has Down syndrome.
The ladies competing in the competition on 3 August 2024 are Jennifer King, Natalie Solomons, Dawn Martin, Lani Moller, Claudia Wiese, Dorothea Ockhuizen, Bianca Cloete, Magreitha van Schalkwyk, Bianca Willemse, Bianca Otto, Porche Mouton, Ursala Thomas, Helen Feris, Ernestine Bampton, Belinda Freeman, Mita Rios, Sophia Coetzee, Emily Oosthuizen, Felicity Joubert, Gustafine Kamuhake, and Nicolene Isaacs.
The first Miss 40 Up Queen crowned in 2022 was Livia Miller, with Amber van Wyk as the reigning queen.
The contestants were seen at the Kudus I versus Unam I Namibia Rugby Union Premier League game at the Jan Wilken Stadium.
