’n Boer naby Gross Barmen en die Otjimbingwe-nedersetting het verlede naweek onder vermeende stropers deurgeloop. Sy bees- en kalfoppasser, ’n donkie genaamd Jacob, is sedert Vrydag soek. Jacob vergesel al 30 jaar lank elke dag ’n klein trop koeie en hul kalwers weiveld toe. Die vermeende stropers het nog een van die boer se donkies met ’n panga oor die kop geslaan. Die boer moes haar van kant maak om haar van haar lyding te verlos. Tot dusver is daar geen spoor of enige oorblyfsels van Jacob op die plaas gevind nie.
