Final call for choirs: Blended Voices auditions close tomorrow
The National Theatre of Namibia (NTN) is urging all choirs across the country to submit their audition entries before the deadline tomorrow, Wednesday, 26 February 2025.
The Blended Voices – A Namibian Choral Celebration competition offers choirs a platform to showcase their talent and gain national recognition, with a grand prize of N$50,000 up for grabs. The final event, scheduled for 26 April 2025, will feature the top five choirs performing before an expert panel of judges and a live audience.
NTN’s Public Relations Officer, Desiree Mentor, emphasized the importance of this opportunity for local choirs. “Blended Voices represents a groundbreaking initiative by the National Theatre of Namibia to showcase and elevate the country’s choral music culture, providing a professional platform for choirs to grow and gain recognition,” she said.
She encouraged choirs to act fast and submit their entries before it’s too late. “With a grand prize of N$50,000, this competition demonstrates NTN’s serious commitment to supporting and developing local musical talent, giving choirs an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the industry,” Mentor added.
Choirs are urged to submit their 3-minute audition videos via WhatsApp to 264 81 366 2133 before the deadline. No registration fees are required, making the competition accessible to groups from all regions.
