All roads head to the Oktoberfest!

It was fun for the whole family at the Oktoberfest on Saturday, with games, food and music for all ages, and naturally lots of beer for the adults.

Entertainment was provided by both local and visiting musicians, including the Schuhplattler and the Oktoberfest band from Germany, Die Kirchdorfer, and Namibia’s own Riaan Smit.

The 62nd Oktoberfest started on Thursday evening for corporate clients, returning after a two-year Covid hiatus, and concluded on a high note at the SKW on Saturday night, with thousands of revellers enjoying the entertainment despite the scorching heat.

This year, the tents covered twice the floor space as in the past, and as always, the traditional Festbier which was brewed exclusively for the event was the star of the show.

The event was sponsored by NBL, Hansa Draught, Pupkewitz BMW, Eurowings Discover, Jägermeister (CIC), Radiowave, and the Sport Klub Windhoek.
