Established in 2020, Mofuka Properties has quickly become a key player in Namibia's real estate industry, offering sales, rentals and property management services.

Founded in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Mofuka Properties has provided vital solutions to both buyers and sellers navigating the evolving property landscape. Linda Mofuka, a representative of the company, shared insights about the business and the latest trends in the property market.

Mofuka, the principal agent of Mofuka Properties, has a passion for real estate that stems from her love of meeting new people and solving problems. "Real estate allows me to connect people and help them find the perfect home or investment," she explains.

One of the main problems she addresses involves assisting clients in making the right decisions, particularly with property sales, ensuring they achieve their goals efficiently.

Trends in the property market

When asked about current trends in the property market, Mofuka points out that the average Namibian is looking for a practical family home, often with an added flat to generate rental income. "It’s important for homeowners not only to have a roof over their heads but also to have an additional source of income," she notes.

In terms of location, Mofuka Properties has seen a surge in demand for homes in the Eros area in Windhoek due to its proximity to amenities like schools, hospitals and shopping centres. "Eros is accessible and offers the convenience that many of our clients desire," she says.

Other popular areas include Khomasdal, which is affordable for young buyers, and Rocky Crest, where new developments have sparked interest.

Valuing professional real estate guidance

Mofuka also emphasises the importance of consulting a real estate agent when buying or selling property. "We know the market inside out," she explains.

"We can advise you on the right pricing and ensure you don’t overpay or undersell." Her advice is particularly valuable for first-time buyers or sellers, who may be unaware of market fluctuations or vulnerable to exploitation.

Mofuka Properties takes pride in offering personalised services that enhance the client experience. "We ensure that our client's interests are at the forefront. Whether it’s finding the right buyer or negotiating a sale, we are committed to delivering excellent results," Mofuka says.

With the real estate industry becoming increasingly competitive, she believes Mofuka Properties stands out by focusing on what matters most to their clients: security, location and value for money.

"People want to feel safe in their homes, and they want to be close to the amenities they need," she says. As the property market continues to evolve, Mofuka Properties remains dedicated to connecting people with their ideal homes, all while ensuring smooth transactions and excellent service.
