About Trust
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:
The Oxford dictionary explains trust as: Firm belief in the honesty, veracity, justice, strength in a person or thing.
Because I always trusted my late husband in choices he made for us, I became a trustee for a “trust” his father started for his children in 1998. I never thought of negative implications.
In 2021 both my husband and the other trustee died of Covid.
During this week, 3 years after my husband died, a lady dealing with the “trust” phoned me looking for death certificates of my husband’s family.
I did not have a clue how to get it. Then I heard that attached to laws about a trust is the possibility of a ten million dollar fine or 10 year in prison sentence. For what?
Severe punishments are for child rapists and murderers.
I’ve written this to ask some clever person to give us some information about “trusts” and to explain the consequences.
In this life we now live, it is always possible to know that the Holy Bible can be trusted.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (New International Version)
“Lean on trust and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
In all your ways know, recognize and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
God bless you.
