As if we are voiceless

Mandy Rittmann
WERNER KANDJOZE WRITES:

Problems that we have encountered and are still encountering with government officials specifically with “government ministries” in general as if we are voiceless citizens of this country. The question is, if we got a problem with the government ministries to whom should we report? And which people, tribe or colour with due respect should give their concerns regarding the ministries to our president “directly”? Or which paths should we follow so that our concerns are reportedly directly to the president. Us that are helpless and unnoted where should we go?

I have tried numerous times just to make an appointment with our president. I have tried since our former president Honourable Pohamba and now with our current president Honourable Dr. Hage Geingob.

There’s always too much unnecessary questions asked that to answer just to make an appointment with our president. Some government official told me to wait, its been six years I have waited but no feedback.

I thought radio stations was one of the easiest paths to get through to our president, with our concerns and problems regarding the government ministries. Truth be told the radio stations only wants to hear or only allows good things to be mention about our government ministries and their officials, but the bad things that are being done to us by our beloved government ministries, the radio doesn’t allow us to mention. Until when should we stress about this persisting problem as they remain unsolved?

I am not a leader in anyway, I am just an ordinary individual who is trying to solve the problems that we face as Namibians on a daily basis.

My request to meet our president will not end here, it will continue up until I meet the president face to face. With due respect it’s our votes that have made the president the president. It’s because of us the “poor” and the “low level” citizens that have made it possible that there is government because of our majority votes and not those government officials sitting in aircon offices blocking us to meet the president.

My request to the government officials in their respective ministries, they should execute their duties as given to them fair and square so that we can take our country forward. And in case you need me, I am staying far down in the village, Erongo region, Omaruru, Daures Constituency. God bless you and God bless Namibia.
