“Deliver us from evil”
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:
I bought the Republikein on Friday, 22 March because of the beautiful photo on the front page of our children.
It reminded me of something that I said I would do, but have not done yet.
At the start of a new year, we all set goals.
This year I would like to ask the Minister of Education to seriously consider re-introducing, The Lord’s prayer into the schools for the protection of our children.
Looking around us we cannot ignore the fact that the “days are evil”.
Ephesians 5:15-16 (New International Version)
“Be very careful then how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil”.
Earlier this month I saw the shocking account on television of children again being kidnapped from school in Nigeria. I went into a time of fervent intercession before the Lord Jesus on behalf of the children and families.
Praise God on Sunday morning, 24 March it came on Sky News that the children had been released.
Every time I see on news or hear about evil deeds being done against children it tears at my heart.
Maybe because I remember how happy my own childhood was.
If we are wise, it is possible to make a difference in the lives of children.
Matthew 6:13 (The prayer of Lord Jesus)
“And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one for Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever”. Amen
Thank you for an outpouring of your amazing grace on the nations Lord as we turn to you in repentance in Jesus name. Amen
