‘Have mercy Lord’
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:
I recently watched a Christian programme on which the precious evangelist Reinhard Bonnke was giving his testimony on video. Evangelist Bonnke went to be with the Lord not too long ago.
He once came to minister at the Katutura Stadium maybe more than 20 years ago.
In his testimony, he spoke about the dream about Africa that the Lord gave him. In spite of opposition from his organization in Germany, he decided to obey the Lord and so started his ministry “Africa shall be saved.”
His testimony moved me to tears. Because of his obedience to the Lord millions of people in Africa gave their hearts to the Lord.
What about us? Do we, living on this continent, take the time to come before the Lord in prayer to pray for our continent? We must stand before God for our continent. (Ezekiel 22:30)
The wrongdoing on this continent has become grievous like that of Sodom and Gomorrah. We must cry out for God’s mercy.
By now we all know about the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria in which more than 40 thousand people lost their lives.
We also know that because it is one of the signs spoken about by the Lord Jesus Christ, in the “last days” it can happen anywhere any time.
Matthew 24:6-8 (Signs of the end of the Age Hole Bible New International)
“You will hear of wars and rumours of wars. But I see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
On 13 June 1997 the Lord also spoke to me through a dream about the “rapture” or the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe with all my heart it is what I must do. To warn people that the time is drawing near.
