Ever since Cain killed Abel, after Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden after eating from the forbidden apple tree of life, wisdom and knowledge, the world was involved in conflict.
The Nama-Herero Genocide of 1904 - 1908 had three parties involved - the Nama-Herero, the British Empire which supplied 0.303 Lee-Enfield rifles for the uprising and the German Reich. This conflict in the colonial era of Europe, was not about upliftment (The Bible), it was about exploitation, subjugation and revenge.
All European powers were guilty in Africa, the British (Anglo Boer War for gold), the Portuguese, the French, the Belgians, the Italians and the Germans.
Later in the Twentieth Century, the Europeans were decimated in two world wars, among themselves.
Decolonization, followed with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations in 1948.
Knowing one’s flawed history will hopefully result in no repetition. As humanity, we share this place.
We all belong, so let's get along for the common good and peace of mankind. The compensation negotiations of 1904 - 1908 should involve all the three parties to uplift the descendants with development opportunities, peace, security and justice. Tomorrow should be a better place. Country first, party second. We need a thriving, free capitalist market economy, with a socialist conscience to deliver on promises.
