Right and wrong

Mankind (Homo sapiens) is born with a conscience to distinguish right from wrong. However, Eva and Adam tripped up in Eden and were expelled. We are all fallible and live in glass houses. Some need armoured glass to survive in the rat race of life. Let him or her who has not sinned throw the first stone – there is nobody! Let’s be tolerant within reason, as everybody has certain values, biases, and prejudices based on their background and interests. Think of a common shared good. Our country has a modern constitution, which is the guiding light for good governance, the rule of law, and code of conduct. Although we are a secular democracy. We are assisted, reminded of integrity and honesty by God. The Bible (Old Testament – The ten Commandments, The New Testament – The Our Father), by Jehovah – the Talmud (Duties come before rights), and by Allah (The Koran). The word becomes flesh. Our work (vocation) becomes our prayer. For harmony, decency, dignity, and civility, do unto others as you would have them do to you!
