Time to choose
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:
For the first time in my life, I was on my own for many days during the holiday. It was spiritually uplifting.
On Sunday morning, 7 January 2024, during a time of prayer, I heard a clear word from the Holy Spirit: “This will be a momentous year.”
I immediately got my Oxford dictionary: Momentous: of great importance or significance. We have become aware that a shaking has started in well-known ministries because of sexual misconduct from leaders.
The Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance:
1 Peter 4:17 –
“For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?”
The love for the Lord Jesus Christ and the desire to draw people to Him must be the focus of the Christian Church. We are all vessels to bring Him glory. When the focus shifts, it leads to trouble. The Holy God is jealous of His glory.
Isaiah 42:8 (New King James Bible) –
“I am the Lord, that is My name. And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to carved images.”
This is the year when we must choose.
During my time of quiet before the Lord, the Holy Spirit on two occasions brought me to:
1 King 18:21 –
And Elija came to all the people and said: “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God follow Him; but if Baal, follow him. And the people did not answer him a word.
Who knows maybe what will manifest this year is:
Isaiah 6:3 –
And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory. God bless your earth; have mercy on the nations, Lord, in Jesus name.
Amen
