Time to Pray

Mandy Rittmann
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:

On the night of 12 September I dreamt that someone from the Republikein came to me and said “we are waiting for the letter”.

The Holy Spirit has been speaking about so many things and I was reminded of the words of Jesus Christ: About the Holy Spirit.

John 16:7: “But I tell you the truth: It is for your own good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counsellor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.”

This is the time for us as followers of Jesus Christ to hear what the “Spirit is saying”.

The world is in turmoil and the nations are in desperate need of prayer.

Namibia as a nation seems to be protected from disasters that are striking many nations.

Why? Either Satan thinks this nation is spiritually asleep and is not a challenge, or the Christians in Namibia are praying fervently for the nation. We hope the latter is true.

The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me often about the Ten Commandments recently and specifically about the Sabbath. The Lord's holy day.

According to the Holy Bible it is to be a “day of rest” but that is no longer the case.

In the year 2001 I visited Israel. On the Saturday, their Sabbath, there were no vehicles on the roads, we had to walk to where we wanted to go.

No one seems to mention why on 7 October 2023 the music festival was held on the Sabbath day. It was maybe one of the reasons why the terrorist group Hamas chose that day for their attack. People in Israel were distracted.

Because of technology the world has undergone major changes.

The Ten Commandments start with God saying: Exodus 20:3: “You shall have no other gods before me.”

Sport, even on the Sabbath day, has become a god to many. The cellular phone is an object people cannot live without. Idol worship is something we must repent of.

The church of Jesus Christ must be the light to the world.

In watching television services I have noticed it is not a reflection of the New Testament Church. Very little praise and worship and no children in sight. If those thousands of adults will pray daily for the nations as the Lord Jesus commanded, the state of the nations of the world must look different.

Mark 11:17 (Words of Jesus Christ): And as he taught them he said, Is it not written: “My house will be called, a house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of robbers”.

Heavenly Father we repent of not praying fervently for the nations. Thank you for our helper the Holy Spirit who will help us to pray. In Jesus Name. Amen
