Transport problem
ANONYMOUS WRITES:
Yesterday, 28 February 2024, I experienced something I always thought Henties residents were exaggerating about, but it was the worst experience, I tell you.
There were a few patients who were to be transported to Swakopmund Hospital and Tamariskia Clinic for various reasons. There were elderly people who were sick, as well as pregnant ladies. Most of our appointments were done at 1 o'clock, so we had to go to the hospital again to wait for transport back, only to discover that the one vehicle we used is also used to transport patients from and to Walvis Bay and Arandis because there are no vehicles for transporting patients.
Three towns use one vehicle. I am unsure about Omaruru, but this looks like a big problem for the Erongo region. Imagine, we only got back to Henties after 9 in the evening; we waited hours and hours. This is not fair; really, I am pleading to anyone who has the power: please do something. I personally will not rest; it’s a disgrace for the MOHSS. This must be attended to immediately. Please, Mr. Mayor, councilors, anyone in the position to help, please!
