Urgency of our time

Mandy Rittmann
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:

During the past week, the Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance something that happened many years ago.

It was at that time that I started attending a church in Windhoek because I heard it was the “prophetic church”.

I somehow did not find the preaching focusing on prophecies from the Holy Bible regarding the “end time”.

Ons Sunday morning, something exceptional happened to me.

Before the service, the pastor told the congregation to pray for someone.

A lady sitting in the row in front of me who had snow white hair turned around looked into my eyes, took my hands into hers, and without praying for me, she spoke these prophetic words:

“The Lord is going to use you like the apostle Paul with a message to the church.”

All that I could do was give her a hug, say God bless you, and collapsed into my seat.

On Friday, 13 June 1997, the Lord Jesus gave me the message through a dream:

“The countdown to My coming has started. Go and tell the church.”

Many years ago the first, and in my opinion the best film about the “rapture of the church” was made. It was called Left Behind and was based on the book by Tim Lahaye called “Left Behind”. With due respect to God’s Servants, I remember the scene that was put in the film as a warning to men of God.

After the rapture, the pastor was in the church arguing with God. His words were something like this: “I stood here Sunday after Sunday preaching your Word and I was good. But they are gone, and I am here.”

The message about the rapture of the church is not often preached from pulpits.

Be that as it may, what must be preached are the words of the Lord Jesus Christ regarding being born again and the Kingdom:

John 3:3 Holy Bible NIV – “I tell you the truth: no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

Matthew 4:17 Holy Bible NIV:

From that time on, Jesus began to preach: NIV Holy Bible

"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

We cannot ignore the urgency of the time that we are living in. One day we will stand before the Lord God and give an account of how we used our time to His glory.

God bless you.
