Vaalgras chieftanship finalized

Mandy Rittmann
BAB WRITES:

We, the proud and brave traditional community, have taken that bold step to coronate our chief.

Fortunately, the Chief in the name of Mr. Aron Hage Stephanus was our late Chief Joel Stephanus’ wish and choice. The coronation was done on Saturday 11 November 2023.

The auspices and historic occasion were witnessed and conducted by the incumbent paramount chief of the Ovaherero royal traditional community and the deputy minister of health and social services. All we wanted to reclaim and reassociated with was our human dignity, our pride, and our royalness, as a once progressive and prosperous hard-working tribe.

The new chief made several pledges and promises to lead and take the clan to unlimited heights. There were attempts from the left-thinking side to derail and jeopardize the process, but we have simply ignored their existence and attempts. They have actually made fools of themselves. What a failure again after so many myopic endeavours?

The official government function will take place in the first quarter of next year.

Meaning, it’s a done well, because the government will only grant recognition status to our group and choice without listening to the noise of the other equates standing outside in the sun and the house.

I've never seen such a thing in life that a handful of family households are trying to take hostage of the rest of a larger majority. We are well aware of the fact that there were some hibernators who would not want to be seen together with the brave group. We will strive for inclusiveness and accommodate every member of the traditional community in our administration. We have excellent plans in terms of socio-economic development for our neglected, impoverished rural traditional, viz., a health care center and a satellite police station for swift response.
