As family, kith and kin we should differentiate between blood, principles, events, functions, fundamental basic human rights and political freedoms of all citizens of the country etc. There’s a word called “allegiance” with a clear definition and meaning, although to different people, with boundaries to different cadres. . . Thus, parents, kith and kin must by all means try to take control of their children, great-grandchildren etc, if we have to prosper in mutual interest. . . Furthermore, as grown-ups we need to separate things, occasions and functions not to overstep on the toes of others, contravene the prescriptions of the rule of law and/or any other relevant law as might have been enacted by the Parliament of the Republic of Namibia.
