Jameela Uiras took the Miss Namibia 2023 crown on Saturday evening during a glitzy event at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund. The beauty queen was also chosen as Miss Photogenic.

Her first runner-up is Albertina Haimbala, while Martha Kautanavali – who was also the public’s choice – took the title of second princess.

Lency Kuhunga was chosen as Miss Congeniality.

The event was preceded by the crowning of Miss Teen Namibia 2023 at the same venue on Friday night, with the title going to Oriana Ribeiro, who was also Miss Photogenic. The first runner-up is Innocential Mukubi, who was also chosen as Miss Congeniality by the contestants themselves, while the second runner-up is Timica Goeieman.

Both events boasted performances by local musicians and saw contestants donning Namibian designers' finest creations. The participants have spent the better part of the last two months travelling to various locations including Lüderitz, Kolmanskop and the Fish River Canyon as well as visiting sponsors.
