Andrada Mining delivered significant operational milestones in the fourth quarter, including securing final regulatory approval for its strategic partnership with Chilean lithium miner, SQM for the Lithium Ridge project, according to CEO Anthony Viljoen.

The company has demonstrated sustained growth across its tin operations, with increased tin concentrate production and shipments during the quarter.

"We have delivered on significant objectives this quarter, including securing approval for the SQM earn-in agreement," said Viljoen. "We continue to demonstrate steady and sustainable growth across our tin operations, achieving higher tin concentrate tonnage and increased shipments this quarter."

The company's Continuous Improvement programme has yielded notable results, with processing rates reaching 141 tonnes per hour (tph)—the highest level recorded in five quarters. This improved throughput drove a 5.4% year-on-year increase in annual ore processed to 965,058 tonnes, and a 2.6% rise to 244,314 tonnes for the quarter. Tin concentrate production grew by 2.2% year-on-year to 379 tonnes for the quarter.

In a move to capitalise on robust tin prices, AfriTin secured US$2.5 million to procure a 100tph jig plant, enabling modular expansion of tin production into numerous pegmatites at Uis without disrupting existing operations. The company also plans to re-engineer the front-end of its current tin processing plant in preparation for integrating a lithium circuit.

Following receipt of unconditional approval from the Namibian Competition Commission in February 2025, AfriTin is making solid progress with SQM in forming a Board and Joint Development Committee for the Lithium Ridge project. The partnership represents a key component of the company's long-term strategy to become a producer of multiple critical minerals.
