On 8 November, Pupkewitz Volkswagen Ongwediva handed over 42 pairs of school shoes to Naiti Combined School, situated in Ogongo, 50 kilometres outside of Oshakati.

“When I lie awake at night, I find myself thinking how privileged I am to be where I am today, to have a home and food on the table. I thank God every day for this privilege,” the dealership's dealer principal Isai Shigwedha said.

“Any contribution, no matter how small, makes a big difference in the lives of these children, therefore being able to give back to the community gives me a deep sense of gratitude.”

Targeted investment

Pupkewitz Motors has expanded its footprint into northern Namibia with the addition of a state-of-the-art Volkswagen dealership in Ongwediva. With an advanced concept, the dealership opened its doors on 2 December 2019.

The company said it is proud to have added another Volkswagen outlet to their dealer footprint in order to make their products and services even more accessible to customers.

"It does not matter where you are, Pupkewitz Volkswagen delivers countrywide. We will continue to establish trust and reliability through the Pupkewitz way. This fully-fledged dealership caters a full range of new vehicles and pre-owned Volkswagen vehicles called Master Cars, as well as state-of-the-art equipment in the workshop, complemented by genuine Volkswagen parts," a statement read.

Pupkewitz for the people

As a company, Pupkewitz Motors - including all its subsidiaries - considers investing in the local communities it operates in a primary duty and responsibility. "Ultimately, these children are the future of our country, and will one day be the adults who Pupkewitz Motors has to provide affordable mobility solutions to."

Nico Pieters, Pupkewitz Volkswagen franchise director re-iterated: “It is an absolute honour and privilege for Pupkewitz Volkswagen North to contribute to the well-being of the young learners at Naiti Combined School. We hope to inspire these children to work hard to achieve their goals and dreams”.
