Hage Geingob Campus welcomes book donations

The Hage Geingob Campus Library at the University of Namibia recently received a donation of 15 books intended for master's degree students specialising in anesthesiology from the Society of Anaesthetists of Wales in the United Kingdom. Menete Shatona, the campus librarian, expressed her heartfelt appreciation: "The books generously donated will significantly enrich our continuously expanding resources for the medical anesthesiology programme."In addition, "their invaluable contribution will undoubtedly benefit numerous students and medical professionals for many years to come."The Society of Anaesthetists of Wales' donation, valued at approximately £1 000 (just over N$20 000), underscores their commitment to supporting academic excellence and medical education.This act of philanthropy enhances the learning experience for students and reaffirms the institution's position as a centre for academic excellence and collaboration in the field of medical anesthesiology.Power of cooperation The books complement the existing resources, fostering an environment conducive to exploration and innovation."The University of Namibia extends its deepest appreciation to the Society of Anaesthetists of Wales for their invaluable contribution of relevant books to the academic community in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Veterinary Medicine," Dr Joseph Ndinoshiho, university librarian, said."This gesture underscores the power of international partnerships in advancing global education and healthcare."Professor Judith Hall, an officer of the Society of Anaesthetists of Wales, noted: "As these valuable books find their place on the library shelves of the University of Namibia, they symbolise knowledge, compassion and cooperation.
