Swakopmund Primary School takes the cup

Bakpro hosted its first primary school quiz competition in Swakopmund on 27 October.

This fascinating event showcased multiple primary schools, with each sending four learners from grades four to seven to compete. After intense rounds of competition, the field narrowed down to five outstanding schools: Swakopmund Primary School, Vrede Rede Primary School, Atlantic Primary School, Tamariskia Primary School and Westside Primary School. The competition took place from 09:00 to 15:00, offering a full day of intellectual challenges.

The learners from Swakopmund Primary School were crowned victorious at the end of the day.



Organisers and collaborators

Project Bright Futures, in partnership with the ministry of education, arts and culture, the Erongo regional council's directorate of education and the Swakopmund municipality expertly planned and carried out the competition.

According to programme coordinator Immanuel M'kundi, these organisations were essential in making this event a reality.

The schools further sent out a special mention and a heartfelt thank you to Bakpro for its invaluable sponsorship and support. The tournament was made successful by Bakpro's offerings, which included a tent, 63 loaves of bread, lanyards, promotional material, teardrop and wall banners, and a hefty N$ 8 000 cash prize. The event was substantially enhanced by the sponsorship, and it was clear that the learners and their schools were grateful for the kind assistance.
