The 2024 DHPS expo
Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek (DHPS) hosted a vibrant expo on 9 March. From kindergarten joy to orchestra rehearsals and subject department showcases to judo practice, the expo showcased the diverse educational experience DHPS offers.
During the expo, the school’s diversity took centre stage. From the kindergarten to the pre-school, child and youth centre's afternoon care, and the boarding school, each department showcased its unique aspects. They didn't just introduce themselves - the expo also gave visitors a glimpse into the subjects taught and the creative teaching methods used.
The learners' representative council (LRC) extended a warm welcome - with smiling faces and eagerness - to all visitors stepping onto school property during the expo. As guests enter, they were greeted with enthusiasm and offered an introduction to the day's activities. The LRC team took pride in guiding tours, providing a personalised journey through the various parts of the school. From the innovative classrooms to the buzzing science laboratories, sports hall, library and the supportive DHPS centre, every stop was infused with insights and a friendly atmosphere.
Questions where not only answered, but were encouraged. What stood out was the dedication of the entire DHPS team from the LRCs and teachers to educators and administrators. Their pride and commitment were palpable, leaving a lasting impression on the visitors.
In closing, the DHPS expo wasn't just an event, it was an invitation to be a part of a community that values knowledge and embraces diversity. The journey of discovery doesn't end here. And with all of that said: Welcome to DHPS.
