The My Zone team reached out to learners from different schools to find out what they would do if they were president for the day

If I could be President for only one day, I would do everything in my power to decrease the unemployment rate in Namibia and make sure that everyone who is struggling and living in poverty gets the necessities they need.

If I had the opportunity to be President for the day I would firstly try to enjoy all of the privileges that comes with being the President and then I would definitely try set a good example to others and continue to motivate others to work hard in their daily lives.

I would use that power and platform to try and bring life back into the idea of a United Africa because uniting this continent can make it possible to challenge even some of the biggest countries in the world. This will mean that it is possible to elect anyone from the continent as our leader.

If I were president for one day, I would give myself titles and power in parliament and the NDF that cannot be revoked. This will make me incredibly powerful and even after I am cast out of the office, I would still hold all those titles.

I will invest more into the education system - but I will not build more schools. Building more schools feels like a band-aid solution. I will make sure that the quality of education is improved, and the number of learners that a school can take will be increased. Quality over quantity.

I would create job training and internship opportunities to help young people gain skills and work experience if had to be president for the day. Unemployment in Namibia is a big issue and that is my plan to address it.
