Introducing the new Meatco IT manager
Newly recruited information and technology manager, Emmanuel Chisanga officially joined Meatco on 1 June 2022.
As part of his employment history, Emmanuel Chisanga was an ICT manager at the United Nations Development Programme and United Nations Population Fund between 2020 and 2022. Prior to that, he served at Diebold Nixdorf South Africa as a senior support engineer and regional manager from 2012 to 2018.
He also lectured in the computing department at the University of Namibia (Unam) and was an ICT consultant at the Namibia Red Cross Society, the Society for Family Health and then the agriculture ministry. His career started at Gijima AST as an intern and later junior IT technician in 2004 while studying at Unam.
Chisanga holds a master’s degree in computer science as well as an honours degree in business informatics - both from the University of South Africa (Unisa). Additionally, he has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and economics from Unam. Chisanga also possesses industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Technologist, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (TIL 4), Cisco Cyber Security Associate and Cisco Network Associate. Currently, he is a computer science PhD candidate at Unisa.
“I would like to believe I am a people’s person and I live, eat, walk and talk football as well as everything music. Over and above, I am an all-round ICT enthusiast, always willing to learn and evolve with the fast-paced environments where performance directly impacts the bottom line,” he said.
“Chisanga brings with him a wealth of cutting-edge technology and we are hopeful that he will contribute achievements that will employ the most current and high-level IT developments to withstand the ever-evolving technological times,” Meatco said in a statement.
