Newly appointed Shaanika guns for goals and growth
Lexna Insurance recently appointed a marketing management student as a call centre operator.
Lovisa Shaanika, who has past job experience as an administrative and workshop assistant at a multi-printing centre, has proven to be a poster child for determination and adaptability.
She manages to balance her studies as well as her new full-time job at Lexna Insurance in the sales department.
"My current job includes answering calls, selling the product while providing product information to customers, followed by the process of uploading customer data on the system since Lexna Insurance is an insurance company for lawyers that provides access to affordable legal services," she said.
The young and ambitious Shaanika said her previous job helped her lay a strong foundation for discipline and adaptability in order for her to learn new skills.
She was employed in July after stumbling upon the vacancy on social media.
"Lovisa comes across as extremely intelligent with an innate ability to integrate into a new work environment flawlessly. She has absorbed the company’s values and product offering speedily, contributing greatly to the sales and marketing team’s effectiveness. Her most endearing quality is her ability to effectively communicate with both her teammates and clients. Additionally, she is very inquisitive, and this is an essential quality when striving to continuously improve Lexna operations and processes," said Shaanika’s superior and the head of Lexna Insurance’s sales and marketing department, Camillo Shalli.
"Over the next five years, I see myself taking on as many complex assignments as I possibly can in my current position, as I believe they will allow me to grow within the company and give back by utilising the skills and knowledge I’ll gain. This will also enhance my service portfolio," Shaanika said.
On a more personal note, Shaanika explained that she is a firm believer in the philosophy of stoicism, which is a philosophy of life that maximises positive emotions, reduces negative emotions, and helps individuals to hone their virtues of character.
