2021 Mining Conference
The Chamber of Mines of Namibia will be hosting its 2021 Virtual Mining Conference on 1 September 2021. For more information on registration, please visit www.miningexponamibia.com. The theme for this year’s conference is: “The Namibian Mining Industry’s Resilience and Growth Post COVID-19.”
The COVID-19 pandemic wreaked havoc on the Namibian economy, and continues to present risks and uncertainty for a return to growth. While not unbattered, the mining sector remained resilient and continued to support the Namibian economy during the pandemic, and directly contributed towards the national fight against COVID-19. Given the growing importance of this sector, the 2021 Mining Conference will focus on how mining is positioned to continue supporting the economy well beyond COVID-19.
