A Broad vision for the future

The #BeFree Movement hosted a public dialogue under the theme ‘Rebuilding the identity of a post conflict society’ last Tuesday at the NamPower convention centre. Hosted by Monica Geingos, Namibia's first lady, as a panellist, the lecture saw the attendance of Rwanda first lady Jeannette Kagame, who was the guest of honour. Kagame accompanied her husband, President Paul Kagame, for a two-day state visit to Namibia. The interactive dialogue saw experts from Namibia and Rwanda share innovative ideas and lessons learnt on engendering a national identity and nation-building. This event highlighted the critical building blocks of maintaining unity in a nation, especially among young people.
