All is not lost
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:
On 21 May 2021 I took a trip to the Western Cape to see how my family is doing in the midst of the Corona-pandemic. By God’s grace all is well.
On my arrival in my birth town Pniel, I was greeted by the spectacular sight of many poinsettia trees in bloom. Beautiful beyond words.
It made me think of Psalm 92:4
For you make me glad by your deeds, O Lord;
I sing for joy at the works of your hands.
I was in South Africa when I heard the sad news about prophet TB Joshua.
I was unsettled thinking that the age of 57 years is young nowadays.
I will remember watching his channel as they showed how he prayed and the children put their little hands on the TV screens to be part of the prayer in the different nations.
On my return to Namibia, I heard that the Covid-19 pandemic had taken a turn for the worse in our nation. But of course, all is not lost:
Joel 2:13
Rend your heart and not your garments,
Return to the Lord your God for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity.
At the end of the film Schindlirs List the business man Oskar Schindler was sorry that he did not spend more of his money to save Jewish people during the holocaust.
Regret about what we could have done, but didn’t is a hard thing to cope with. We should be telling people about the importance of repentance and inviting the Lord Jesus Christ into their hearts as savior and Lord.
We are all sinners saved by grace. We all want to hear those precious words one day:
Well done thou good and faithful servant.
God bless Namibia and her people.
