A spokesperson for the Management of Oryx Properties Limited, who manages the Baines Centre writes:

Oryx Properties Limited has already, prior to this suggestion, appointed an engineering company to improve the lighting levels of Baines Centre and this process is underway.

Safety of our pedestrians remains a priority. The speed humps were added to the property specifically for children and senior citizens, based on previous complaints received from the public regarding cars speeding through that area. Oryx is committed to find a solution for all our customers and will investigate the height of the bumps.

Thank you for raising the concern with regards to the ramp. We appreciate that it is sometimes slippery and although we have a set of stairs with hand rails right next to it, will immediately investigate the addition of non-slip application to the ramp.
