Bank Windhoek assists welfare organisations

Bank Windhoek recently handed over funds raised for welfare during its annual Golf Day, in partnership with Lubbe Holding Company and Shoprite Namibia.Recipients included Multiple Sclerosis Namibia, Môreson Special School for the Cognitively Impaired, Namibia Association of Children with Disabilities (NACD), Henties Bay Lions Club, Mondesa Youth Opportunities in Swakopmund, Nurturing Ground Community Mobilisation Project in Osipita Village near Ondangwa, Charity and Care Foundation and SCORE Namibia, a NGO using sport as a medium to bring about sustainable community development and individual empowerment.The Bank Windhoek Golf Day in Aid of Welfare gives assistance to organisations, who would otherwise not qualify for funding from Bank Windhoek through the sponsorship and social investment initiatives of the Bank. Each organisation received support to the value of N$21 250. “Our support to the organisations is an indication of our commitment to make a difference in the lives of our community,” said Jacquiline Pack, Bank Windhoek’s Executive Officer for Marketing and Corporate Communication Services. “At Bank Windhoek we believe in forming smart partnerships to increase the impact our social investment initiatives have on the communities we operate in. We are therefore thankful for the support of companies such as Shoprite Namibia and Lubbe Holding Company, who make it possible to make a bigger difference in the lives of needy communities,” concluded Pack.
