BizzKids competition this weekend at Maerua Mall
The ten finalists of the Bank Windhoek BizzKids Competition will exhibit their products and services on Friday 28 October and Saturday 29 October in front of Checkers at the Maerua Mall shopping complex in Windhoek. The Bank Windhoek BizzKids provides an opportunity for aspiring young entrepreneurs to showcase their skills to the public and to potential buyers.

The finalists, between the ages of 8 and 16 years, will demonstrate their entrepreneurial skills as they promote and persuade potential customers to support their businesses, which include handmade wooden Christmas trees, colouring sheets laminated as place mats, mathematical table cards, lucky packets, photo frames from recycled material and wire cars, amongst others.
“The Bank Windhoek BizzKids Competition gives the finalists the chance to get involved in the whole product concept and development from start to finish as they are encouraged to make their own products, market it and sell it at their stands in the Maeura Mall shopping complex.
“We are excited about the innovative ideas of the ten finalists and we encourage members of the public to come and support them,” said Jacqueline Pack, Executive Officer: Marketing and Corporate Communication Services at Bank Windhoek.

The competition was established seven years ago to encourage and promote entrepreneurship among the Namibian youth. It also encourages children to take calculated business risks from a young age and think beyond traditional ways of doing business.
The winning team of the competition will receive N$7 000 and N$5 000 for their school, while the second and third place winners will receive N$5 000 and N$3 000 respectively.
The ten finalists are:
1. Jean Pierre Joubert (9) trading as “Junior Zambezi Carpenter” from Zambezi Private School.
2. Nicole Groenewald (8) trading as “Nicoles Lucky Packets” from St. Pauls'' College.
3.Bryanis Dennis Stramis (16) and Marcel Jurgen Aoxamub (10) trading as “Marcel Wire Arts & Curio Boutique” from K.W Von Marees Combined School.
4. Jeremia Siweka (16), Renathe Hamutenya (16), and Markus Chinkanda (16) trading as “MMSS Trading” from Maria Mwengere Secondary School.
5. Nayera Elshewikhy (15) trading as “Craft A Green Thought” from DHPS.
6. Lize-Mari de Bod (16), trading as “Coloring Crazy” from Windhoek Gymnasium.
7. Masadia Jochimsen (15), and Wilmary Banda (14) trading as “Style it Well” from Ambrosius Amutenya Combined School.
8. Professor Enos Kiremire Lucky Daniel (8) trading as “Prof Housemade Shop” from Windhoek Central Primary School.
9. Katharina Bergemann (11), Fiona von Koenen (11), and Alexander Bergemann (9), trading as “Sweet Friends” from Deutsche Privatschule Omaruru.
10. Kai Kolling (14), and Wayne Ebrecht (13) trading as “The Algebras” from Deutsche Privatschule Omaruru.
