Established in February 2018, the company saw the need to help build an affordable and easy environment for Namibian business.
Their main focus is on local businesses as well as a few foreign companies. The founder, Laina Silas, started this business with the aim of having financial freedom.
“Before starting my business, I really wanted a large platform to have a strong influence in the society or the asset management industry. To learn new skills is a dynamic way to grow your know-how and be able to create job opportunities,” she says.
With a lot of businesses trying hard to be different from the rest, at Tenacity they try not to get too comfortable and go the safe route but rather love a good controversy by doing the unexpected.
With this attitude comes courage so at Tenacity they try and focus on things they can do differently by creating their own trends and not following trends with being consistent. Providing a quality service is of most important to Silas and knowing her target audience.
Living in the 21st century, there is no need for you to pay thousands of dollars to advertise your product, brand or service in newspapers. Social media has become the new marketing to tool for many entities around the world.
“Social media allows immediate interaction and customer feedback. It allows us to respond to our customers right away. Gaining recognition is one of our important marketing goals and people using social media expects immediate services and everything to be instant, and that is exactly what Tenacity offers,” she says.
Business administrative services is the customer’s favourite at Tenacity because it allows entrepreneurs and executives to save money and time through an affordable business package.
The second popular service is setting up resumés as they aim to provide a successful first impression to their clients’ potential employers.
One of the challenges they have faced is ‘growth versus quality’.
“The time my business was growing it was growing at a slow pace and that did not allow us to focus on every customer ourselves. So we felt the quality will start to decrease and that urged us to hiring new people, hiring candidates that fit the company was crucial for us,” she says.
Their biggest accomplishment is the ability to operate countrywide and employing people, thus creating job opportunities.
Silas’s word of advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is: “Challenge yourself. Take risks. Have a vision. Find good people and do the work.”
