Cancer Ball to save lives

The Cancer Association of Namibia wishes to announce that table sales for the 2nd Annual Cancer Ball of Namibia is now open to the public.

The event will be hosted in Windhoek on Saturday, 11 February 2017 with the theme: “A Night at the Races”.

Entertainment will include Namibia’s very own “desert queen diva” Priscilla Swartz as opening act, while the main attraction and fund-raiser will be a charity “in-house horse race”.

The 2016 cancer ball raised N$210 000 for the National Cancer Outreach Programme, and impacted the lives of Namibians in 11 of the country’s regions.

“We hope that through the 2017 cancer ball, the Association will be enabled to expand the outreach programme to more parts of the country where we can conduct education and awareness campaigns; and especially screening for cancer detection and training of medical staff both state and private, to support our people,“ said Mr Rolf Hansen, CAN’s Chief Executive Officer.

Only 40 tables at N$10 000 per table are on offer to the public. The event includes welcome drinks and table wines served with a 3-course meal, as well as DJ that will ensure guests can dance the night away after the “horse races” have concluded.
