Clash of the regions

The recent sub-national athletics competition between the Erongo, Kunene and Otjozondjupa regions saw over 300 athletes compete against each other.
In the women’s team rankings, Erongo Region reigned supreme with a score of 442, followed by Otjozondjupa with 383 points and Kunene with 40 points. This was based on 34 events scored.
In the men’s team rankings, Otjozondjupa clinched first place with 467 points, followed by Erongo with 396 points and Kunene with 222 points. This was based on 37 events scored during the athletics meet.
For the moment, the national athletics competition is still slated for 13 – 14 April in Windhoek.
