Construction on Husab mine completed

With the Husab mine construction project having been completed at the end of 2016, the Metal and Allied Namibian Workers Union (Manwu) on Monday officially handed over the mine to the Mineworkers Union of Namibia (MUN). According to the chief executive officer of Swakop Uranium, Zheng Keping, the first yellow cake was produced for export in December 2016. The mine's plant will be fully operational within the next 20 months.
