Creating memorable moments

There is a saying that you haven’t lived until you have seen the sun set in Namibia.

We totally agree that Mother Nature tends to truly show off her natural beauty in the most enchanting way, especially at that time of the day.

The recently renovated Taleni Africa Sossusvlei Lodge is a luxurious retreat situated at the entrance gate to the Namib Naukluft Park.

Accommodation options include standard or superior units featuring a spacious air-conditioned bedroom, en suite bathroom and a patio from where you can admire the views over the desert landscapes.

The new Junior Suite boasts large air-conditioned living areas, a feature bath under a skylight, as well as a patio with a small private splash pool for ultimate relaxation.

Ice-cold drinks are available at the indoor bar area. These can be enjoyed under the shady leaves of the age-old thorn tree at the beer garden or next to the pool whilst watching the wildlife making their way to and from the nearby waterhole.

Guests can browse for souvenirs at the curio shop and also appreciate the fantastic views of Elim Dune and the surrounding desert plains from the sundowner deck.

The restaurant at Sossusvlei Lodge is well known for its delicious cuisine. The dinner under the stars experience where guests can enjoy a delectable buffet with a variety of starters, salads, stir-fries, grilled meats, poultry and fish as well as a selection of decadent desserts is a huge hit with guests.

The on-site Adventure Centre provides loads of exciting activities, allowing guests to explore the vastness of the unspoilt natural environment.

The unique desert beauty can be appreciated from a bird’s eye view in a hot air balloon, by helicopter or with a light aircraft. Sundowner trips on the lodge’s private reserve allow visitors to witness the most amazing and dramatic sunsets.

Other activities on offer include quad buggy drives, nature walks to Elim Dune and trips to Sesriem Canyon. There are also guided excursions to explore Sossusvlei and Deadvlei which provide an opportunity to climb and conquer the massive dunes of the Namib.

For those who prefer a bit more independence and want to experience being close to nature without compromising on the comfort, two self-catering establishments situated only 4 km from the Lodge provide a fantastic alternative to Sossusvlei Lodge.

Desert Quiver Camp offers a modern self-catering option surrounded by inspiring scenery characterised by granite outcrops, spectacular views and roaming wildlife that will captivate your senses.

The main areas comprise a fully stocked bar, two communal boma areas for groups or families traveling together, and a sparkling pool with magnificent views towards Elim Dune.

The revamped Desert Camp complements breath taking views over the desert landscape stretching into the incredible Naukluft mountain range.

The self-catering accommodation units are very similar to Desert Quiver Camp and the main area includes a large lapa with bar and television, two communal boma areas and a refreshing pool which is essential after a day of exploring the dunes.

Fresh food supplies can be ordered daily at both establishments’ reception areas or one can enjoy dinners and breakfasts at the nearby Sossusvlei Lodge.

Campers can also spoil themselves with a stay at an exclusive Sossus Oasis Camp Site near the entrance gate to the Namib Naukluft Park.

Individual campsites are constructed in a semi-circle surrounding the pool. Each site has a paved patch shaded with a wooden canopy, its own toilet and shower facilities, kitchen wash-up basin, braai and electricity points.

An internet café and fully stocked shop offering drinks, ice, groceries, wood, toiletries, curios and clothing as well as a fuel station and tyre workshop are within walking distance.

From Sossusvlei the road leads to the charming Hotel Zum Kaiser at the end of Sam Nujoma Drive in Swakopmund.

Located close to the famous jetty, pristine beach and walkway bordered by palm trees in the historic town, the exclusive hotel houses only 21 bedrooms. Each fully air-conditioned bedroom features a full en suite bathroom, television, coffee and tea making facilities, bar fridge and WiFi to catch up with your friends and family.

At the on-site Bistro Zum Kaiser steaming cups of coffee and a breakfast feast will set you up for the day. Loads of activities to explore Swakopmund and surrounds can be booked with the reception staff. From the hotel’s idyllic Roof Terrace one can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets over the Atlantic whilst sipping sun-downers.

From here the animal kingdom of Etosha awaits where the unique wildlife viewings never cease to amaze.

At Etosha Village you will be ideally based just outside the National Park’s Andersson Gate near Okaukuejo.

Accommodation units blend in perfectly with the surrounding mopani forest and give you ample privacy to enjoy the incredible beauty that surrounds you.

Each unit offers a spacious air-conditioned bedroom with a sleeper couch suitable for young children, an en suite bathroom and a small patio as well as an outside seating area.

The Adventure Centre offers a choice of activities ranging from morning or full-day game drives to the national park, morning walks and sundowner drives on the protected reserve as well as magical stargazing sessions.

The unique layout of our village leads to various restaurant seating areas and one can indulge in the exquisite cuisine served.
